How It Works
Three Simple Steps to a Complete ARC Submission
Step 1: Upload Your CC&Rs
Upload your HOA’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs) and any architectural guidelines. Most homeowners have these as PDF files from their closing documents or HOA website.
What to upload:
- CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions)
- Architectural Review Committee (ARC) guidelines
- Design standards or rules documents
- Any amendment documents
Don’t have your CC&Rs? Contact your HOA board or property manager. Most HOAs provide these on their website or upon request.
Step 2: Describe Your Project
Tell us what you want to do. Be specific — the more detail you provide, the more accurate your compliance analysis will be.
Good descriptions:
- “I want to install a 6-foot cedar privacy fence along the north and east property lines”
- “I want to install rooftop solar panels on the south-facing roof of my home”
- “I want to build a 12×16 pressure-treated wood deck off the back of my house”
Include dimensions, materials, colors, and location on your property. If you have photos or plans, mention them — you can include those with your submission to the ARC.
Step 3: Get Your Complete Package
Within 2 minutes, you’ll receive a professionally formatted PDF submission package that includes:
- Cover letter addressed to your Architectural Review Committee
- Compliance analysis showing how your project meets each relevant rule in your CC&Rs
- Project specification summary with all key details
- Compliance checklist for your records
- Submission instructions with next steps
Review the package, attach any photos or plans, and submit it to your HOA. That’s it.
